The Nursery is managed by Craig Price and his small staff of plant enthusiasts. Craig joined us as a YTS apprentice way back in 1986. Since then his experience and passion for plants has propelled him up the management ladder whereby he is now in charge of nurturing carefully about 22,000 plants of over 400 varieties. When not working Craig enjoys spending time with his partner and daughter and crown green bowling.
With a working nursery on site many of our plants are home grown. This not only guarantees the quality of the plants but also ensures they are available to the customer right through a busy bank holiday weekend. Where we do buy in plants for sale we only do so from the best growers who have consistently proved themselves to be real plants people, and we are ruthless about quality. Many of our customers have commented that the plants in our sale area are often of a higher standard than the best of some of our competitors. We don’t force on our plants and nor do we release them for sale until the appropriate time of the year. As all our regular customers will testify, our plants really do grow and we are happy to guarantee this. |
